Position Description:
The Intermediate Software Systems Engineer will provide application development support for new applications and modernize or enhance selected legacy applications in the ATF portfolio and leverage the ATF Application Architecture approach as part of the modernization/enhancement effort.  Each application will be designed and developed using the ATF agile methodology.  Specifically, the candidate will:

  • Perform requirements analysis and requirements gathering for new ATF application development.
  • Perform development, design, customization, testing, upgrading and maintaining of new and existing ATF applications and code, and graphic designs with full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Serve as an active productive member of a self-organizing Agile/Scrum team
  • Review, redesign and optimize ATF data base structures and schemas for optimal use with applications and APIs that conform to ATF Data Management Requirements
  • Recommend API standard and best practices for each development effort.
  • Document all development and deployment of databases.
  • Create and maintain Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for web applications, and design application components to automate manual processes, as needed.
  • Perform process improvements for software development and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with existing ATF support teams to transition and deploy, developed applications into test and production environment
  • Perform independent quality assurance testing.
  • Ensure versioning control on any new releases or modifications.
