Required Skills:  

  • Must be able to attain a favorable background investigation and be cleared through ATF’s Personnel Security Division (PSD)

  • 3 - 5 years of previous software testing/training/user documentation experience
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work with agile development methodologies
  • Previous training/analysis/user documentation experience preferred
  • Capture and transform stakeholder needs, expectations, constraints, and interfaces into customer features and requirements
  • Write user story requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ATF IT environment
  • Elicit, identify, and capture functional and non-functional requirements through systems and use case analysis
  • Develop system context models, use case models, user interface storyboards, business process flow models, and domain models
  • Mock up UI designs in Visio, VS.NET, or another UI prototyping tool
  • Strong desire to cross train in various software application functions including training/analysis/user documentation

Position Description:
The Business Analyst – Senior (Tester/User Documentation) will provide senior level application testing and user documentation support for new applications and modernize or enhance selected legacy applications in the ATF portfolio and leverage the ATF Application Architecture approach as part of the modernization/enhancement effort. Specifically, the candidate will:

  • Attend daily Scrum meetings to understand the project due dates, deliverables and deadlines
  • Serve as an active productive member of a self-organizing Agile/Scrum team
  • Develop new and update existing test cases to include test acceptance criteria 
  • Peer review of test cases, provide feedback and updates as needed 
  • Execute test cases assigned within a sprint cycle
  • Document test findings (Bugs, CRs, etc.)
  • Perform cross browser testing (IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari) 
  • Provide automation testing, mobile testing, load testing and regression testing in support of the system
  • Perform ad hoc testing of the system 
  • Conduct smoke testing of the system after each build 
  • Work with developers to have bugs/issues addressed and resolved 
  • Possess understanding of functionality of the system and the requirements within the user stories 
  • Assistance in preparing test deliverables 
  • Assist as needed in other functional areas of the project including training/user documentation/analysis 
  • Use an iterative approach to complete project-based work.
  • Identify and specify business rules and map rules to use user stories
  • Provide support for review of requirements compliance and requirements management best practices and artifacts
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work directly with client staff and in a team environment
