Position Description:
Inserso Corporation is a fast-growing small business looking for a Contracts Manager to manage federal contracts, including IDIQs/GWACs, Task Orders, and subcontracts. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Position reports directly to the Director of Contracts, and will supervise one or more Contracts Department staff members
  • Cradle-to-grave federal contracting and related activities, including written and verbal communication with Federal Contracting Officers (COs)
  • Foster and maintain sound and reliable relationships with counterparts in customer organizations
  • Process task orders and modifications
  • Review and analysis of contracts from a business perspective to ensure favorable terms for the company
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior management and project staff on contractual matters
  • Manage all contractual issues & changes to contacts and ensure changes are communicated to the appropriate internal staff and subcontractors, as required
  • Independent judgment and identification, analysis and resolution of significant issues
  • Organize and maintain contract records 
  • Prepare and maintain various reports and tracking mechanisms for both internal and external distribution
  • Negotiate terms of teaming and non-disclosure agreements
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, flow down requirements, and that contracts are in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, corporate policy and government regulations
  • Create and administer subcontract documents and records
  • Assist with developing contractual strategies to bid RFPs and win new business, while identifying potential risks that could cause the company legal, financial, or contractual harm
  • Participate in review of RFP contractual requirements and preparation of cost/price proposals 
  • Maintain up-to-date company records in various federal databases, such as SAM.gov and CPARS
  • Participate in the development and updating of contract related policy and procedure implementation and enforcement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a top secret security clearance
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in federal contract management or administration 
  • Working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing federal IT service contracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service, while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Ability to lead and develop subordinate contracts staff
  • Experience administering contracts and subcontracts for IT services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, file management and other automated system applications
  • Professional Certification (CFCM, CPCM) is desirable but not required
