Position Description:

Inserso is seeking a candidate with strong Microsoft Systems Administrator experience. This position will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure and will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to customer requirements and needs. Position will primarily support the AFCEC RDM&S Network with ancillary NIPR and SIPR network support requirements for those customers, as well as other duties as may be assigned.

This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze, validate, implement, maintain, and configure current services, including, but not limited to, Active Directory (AD), ePO, SCOM (System Center Operations Manager), and Hyper V maintenance tools such as Change Auditor and GPO Admin
  • Complete and maintain required Air Force and DoD forms for new users 
  • Work with DREN Operations Center staff to create, update and validate Whitelist entries 
  • Program and update Cisco Routers 
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that all aspects of the helpdesk requirements are met and exceeded
  • Sustain and provide advanced level support for Active Directory (AD) Services and functions. Actions taken include, but are not limited to, schema extensions, sites and services, domains and trusts, and GPO / Organizational Unit (OU) administration
  • Support and maintain Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) architecture to provide authentication, synchronization, user provisioning, and authorization services for AD user accounts
  • Support installation and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, and enhance critical systems, in support of taskers, initiatives, and projects; ensure compliancy with applicable Air Force and industry guidelines and policies
  • Accept, track, implement, and report Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance on all systems
  • Apply, mitigate, and remediate Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) mandated STIG requirements thru various means including PowerShell scripts, patching, group policy, and manual checks in a continuing effort to maintain the AFCEC RDM&S Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Support installation, maintenance and daily connection of Lenel On Guard 
  • Troubleshoot connectivity between devices both local and external and a willingness to adhere to DoD/USAF processes for establishing connectivity
  • Provide weekly activity reports describing activities accomplished
  • Communicate effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists. Effectively lead detailed technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer’s needs are met in accordance with Air Force requirements.
