Position Description:

Inserso is seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator (Tier 3) to provide support to our DHA client at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.  This position is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure and will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to customer requirements and needs. 


This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze, validate, implement, maintain, and configure current services, including, but not limited to, Active Directory (AD), CommVault, SCOM (System Center Operations Manager), VMWare, and Dell Quest maintenance tools, such as Change Auditor and GPOAdmin, as determined to impact performance and scalability.
  • Work with other organizations and MTFs (Medical Treatment Facilities) to coordinate operations and support of directory services across the enterprise.
  • Sustain and provide advanced level support for AD services and functions. Actions taken include, but are not limited to, schema extensions, sites and services, domains and trusts, and GPO / Organizational Unit (OU) administration.
  • Support and maintain Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) architecture to provide authentication, synchronization, user provisioning, and authorization services for AD user accounts.
  • Support installation and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, and enhance critical systems, in support of taskers, initiatives, and projects; ensure compliancy with applicable Army, DoD, and industry guidelines and policies.
  • Apply, mitigate, and remediate Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) mandated Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) requirements thru various means (PowerShell scripts, patching, group policy, and manual checks) in a continuing effort to maintain the mJAD’s Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Provide weekly activity reports describing activities accomplished.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists. Effectively lead detailed technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer’s needs are met in accordance with DoD, Army, MEDCOM, MHS, and DHA requirements.
